TRANSATLANTICISM Death Cab For Cutie
Seth's fave band and arguably their definitive album – a must have for any Seth-obsessed fan! Rolling Stone magazine described the songs on this album as "melodic, melancholy songs about feeling smart and confused, hopelessly romantic but wary of love"... which we think just about sums up Seth! listen/buy
KAVALIER & CLAY Michael Chabon
Seth's favourite book – a Pulitzer prizewinning one, about the Jewish comic book writer/artist duo and their rise to fame around the time of the second world war. Seth sometimes likened his friendship with Ryan to Kavalier and Clay. review/buy
OH INVERTED WORLD The Shins
Their first, critically acclaimed album, heavily influenced by '60s sunshine pop, with a title taken from a line by Karl Marx. The songs are reminiscent of the sunbaked, glistening bays of California. Why wouldn't Seth love this one? listen/buy
A CHRISTMAS ALBUM Bright Eyes
It was not actually disclosed which Bright Eyes album was included in the pack, but since it was Chrismukkah we decided this would be the most appropriate choice. The song "Blue Christmas" plays at the end of the episode as Seth is lying on the couch with his rejected presents. listen/buy
THE GOONIES
A classic children's adventure movie following a group of kids in their bid to save their homes from destruction by a ruthless property developer. With the aid of a treasure map they find in the attic they embark on a swashbuckling adventure. In Seth's words "you can never have enough copies of the Goonies". review/buy
